Men's Midlayer

A midlayer is an insulating, warm layer for cold winter days, worn between ski underwear and a jacket. It is often worn for skiing, snowboarding, or other winter activities. Examples include sweaters, fleece jackets, Primaloft jackets, or thin down jackets. Depending on how cold it is outside, the midlayer needs to be thinner or thicker. The outermost layer also matters. For example, if you only wear a thin shell jacket for skiing, you will be protected from the wind, but it will not keep you warm at all. Therefore, a Primaloft jacket or a thin down jacket is recommended in this case. However, if you are wearing a lined jacket, a sweater or fleece jacket can also be sufficient as a midlayer.
